Pastor Steven D. Brown was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Diane, in June 1970. They now have four grown children and eight grandchildren. After answering God’s call he was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1976 and he has been serving his Lord ever since. His passion is preaching and teaching the Word of God to accomplish the two greatest missions of the church: winning the lost and making disciples of the saved.
In a time when the Bible is neglected and rejected and most Christians’ knowledge and understanding of God’s Word is shallow, he is preaching and teaching the the whole counsel of God. He does so without apology, and in love, to bring men, women, and young people to a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s Word. God has lead Steve and Diane to Saint Augustine to minister at McDowell Baptist Church. Pastor Steve often says, “We have a church where people love the Lord, love one another and welcome visitors with open arms. You can’t do much better than that!”
