Heaven
Heaven is a free gift. It is not earned or deserved. “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not by works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Man
Man is a sinner and cannot save himself. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
God
God is merciful and does not want to punish us. But God is also just and holy and must punish sin. “…(I) will by no means clear the guilty…” Exodus 34:7
Jesus
Jesus is the infinite God-Man. “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,…” John 1:1,14 Jesus came to earth and lived a sinless life. He died on the cross and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and to purchase a place in Heaven for us.
Faith
Faith is the key that opens the door to Heaven. Faith is not mere head knowledge: knowing facts about Jesus. Nor is faith temporary. True saving faith is trusting in Christ alone for salvation. Would you like to receive the Gift of Eternal Life?
God knows your heart. Suggested prayer: “Lord Jesus, thank You for Your gift of eternal life. I admit that I am a sinner and I know I cannot save myself. But I know You love me and died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I believe You rose from the dead and have purchased a place in heaven for me. I now repent of my sins. I now trust in You alone for eternal life as my Savior.”
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me hath eternal life.” John 6:47
